Now a consultant to the firm he founded, Richard Bobb then as a young sole practitioner with huge aspirations, unrelenting drive and ambition, took the first steps to establish a full-time chartered accounting practice. Naturally he assumed the risks usually associated with a new enterprise and from that origin, the firm has grown and continues to grow today.
All partners, other than the founder, were invited to become partners after initially joining the firm as employees. Katherine Chow has spent 20 years with the practice, 15 years as a partner. Keo Chui and David Woo joined the firm in 1988 and 1990 respectively and were admitted as partners shortly afterwards.
As of 1 July 2005, Richard Bobb retired as a partner of Richard A. Bobb Chartered Accountants and will be providing his services to the firm as a consultant on an ad hoc basis. After spending most of his professional life working as either a principal or a partner within the firm, he will pursue other activities.
